There is no one minimum pitch for every secret-fix tray in New Zealand. NZMRM CoP 7.1.1A generic secret-fix (~30 mm) is 3° cladding pitch, check drainage after 60 m. A named pan can be stricter. Pitch is the pan, not “tray”
Cladding pitch is as-laid after deflection. Design pitch on the truss is a different number. Do not copy corrugate’s 8° or Six Rib’s 4° onto a clip-fix tray.
Example: 300 mm rise on 6.000 m run is 1:20 ≈ 2.86°. That is under a 3° table. Extra sealant does not fix geometry. Check low points on the frame; a dip mid-run ponds even when the section drawing says 3°.
Dimond Heritage Tray (example, not this library’s default) publishes about 450 mm cover / 465 mm overall / 3°. Mixing that cover with a 300 mm placeholder count is a wrong order.
Drainage and flashings
Long trays plus low pitch need outlet capacity, clip spacing, and tray-specific flashings (grab flashings at verge, hip, ridge, wall). CoP tray-roof flashing notes are not the same as pierce-fixed barge. Extra High still means Category B cover thinking at the junctions (flashing checklist).
If the plane is under the published minimum, re-pitch or pick a product whose sheet allows that fall — then override cover on the takeoff. Current NZMRM CoP and the pan’s installation sheet win.
